New York City Marriage Bureau

Mark Holmquist worked alongside Interior Designer Jamie Drake to create the revitalized the New York City Marriage Bureau which opened in 2009. The redesigned Marriage Bureau occupies the ground floor at the Louis J. Lefkowitz State Office Building, a 1920s Art Deco building at 141 Worth Street that was formerly occupied by a Department of Motor Vehicles office. It is part of the Office of the City Clerk of New York City. The Marriage Bureau provides Marriage Licenses, Civil Marriage Ceremonies, registration of Marriage Officiants, and copies and amendments of Marriage Records issued by the City Clerk.

The New York City Marriage Bureau is the site of more marriages than any other venue in the United States.
